Our individual values, skills and personalities when combined as one company create a unique environment for learning, creativity and the promotion of business. The perception we give to our customers is a direct reflection of our collective culture and values. Valtech is a business whose foundation is built upon the ability to succeed through the excellence of our collective abilities. It is incumbent upon all of us to reflect on our past in planning for the future; by focussing on our core values of Quality, Professionalism, Creativity and Diversity, we will move forward with the knowledge and vision required to create success.
We have always been highly regarded for the outstanding calibre of our consultants. As we pursue our goal of end-to-end project ownership we move into new areas of software delivery and we need to ensure that we can maintain the reputation for quality that we have fought hard to establish. With the management of whole lifecycle projects comes the need for a diversification of skills. In developing a range of end-to-end skills we will balance the need for specialisation with that breadth of expertise that Valtech consultants are recognised for.
The importance of quality applies equally to our company processes – supporting both project delivery and internal management. We cannot expect to maintain a credible position in the eyes of clients unless we have established a consistent and comprehensive approach to Quality Assurance throughout the company. It is incumbent upon everyone to ensure that all processes and procedures are as effective as possible, communicated widely and understood.
We expect everyone to act professionally at all times and in all capacities of work. On projects the Engagement Manager has a responsibility to the client, to their own team and to the Company. The staff themselves have responsibility to act as ambassadors for the company ensuring that they deliver their best at all times and any issues they may have be aired through appropriate channels. In addition everyone has a responsibility to drive their own development and performance review. The company will support them in this process through the provision of an appropriate review framework and by requiring managers to comply with the process.
We expect a level of professionalism in all aspects of work; including delivery, timekeeping, communication, meeting management & attendance, showing courtesy and respect to colleagues, responsible line management and a demonstration of initiative.
Management has a responsibility to provide leadership, sound governance and the opportunities for growth and development for all staff.
Valtech is made up of creative individuals and we rely on the innovative skills of all staff to provide us with a competitive edge in order to secure the growth of the company. This creativity should be demonstrated throughout the company – in project delivery, business development, strategic marketing, resource management, staff development, recruitment and financial management. For innovative ideas to be converted into business benefit we need to encourage multi disciplinary teams, to facilitate discussion between geographically separate groups, to devolve ownership and to be prepared to take risks.
It is expected that everyone will be receptive to new ideas and opportunities, to communicate these with colleagues and to take responsibility for their development as appropriate. It is only by working together that we will be able to fully capitalise on the knowledge, expertise and skills that exist within the company.
We will not discriminate on the grounds of race, gender, disability, nationality, religion, age, sexual orientation, family status or any other irrelevant factor and will build a culture that values meritocracy, openness, fairness and transparency.
All employees are responsible for the promotion and advancement of this policy and any actions, words or behaviour that transgresses the policy will not be tolerated and will be dealt with in line with Valtech Ltd’s disciplinary policy.
The policy is applicable to all employees, clients, communities, suppliers, and contractors whether on a temporary or permanent basis. The policy will apply to all processes relating to employment and training and in any dealings with customers and clients.
The policy will be reviewed on an ongoing basis to reflect changes in the law, demographics and internal business requirements.
The board and senior management team of Valtech Ltd fully endorse this policy and see it as a critical part of the overall business strategy in order to achieve Valtech’s business objectives.
